![]() | Juu is a very typical story for kids on Hekshano after the massacres. Sent to a foster family after his own family was killed, he hit his awkward and obnoxious teen years before they were ready to deal with obnoxious and awkward teens. With penty of below-the-belt ammunition for he and his Human foster parents to throw at eachother, Juu didn't get along. Occasionally, the fights would escalate from verbal abuse into physical abuse. Rather than bounce Juu from foster home to foster home, his family opted to try to get him help. A psychiatrist diagnosed him with bipolar disorder and anger issues - neither of which he actually had. He was just a teen. He was sent for a week long stay in a local hospital for therapy and treatment. There, Juu found the enviroment much less stressful and much more conductive to his moody point in life. It was a bit of an escape for him, no longer having to deal with parents or schoolwork. Juu learned rapidly what he needed to do to remain in the hospital and almost subconciously adapted such things to the personality he showed to the staff and doctors. Going in and out of the hospital for several months, Juu became a sort of guru within its walls. All the nurses and doctors knew him, although none knew him well enough to realize he wasn't sick at all. Juu was regularly the ginuea pig for many new types of treatment. Juu was assigned to room with the older Kyotoshi during one of his trips, and the two got along quite well despite not always agreeing. He, perhaps more than anyone, could get a handle on Kyotoshi's 'trigger' factors and point them out. Being a teen, though, his advice to Kyo was frequently flawed. The doctors believed Juu had a crush on his roommate, but this is decidedly not true. Kyotoshi was just Juu's first close friend under the hospital's watchful eye. Eventually, a drug overdose caused by trans-species chemical complications ended Juu's life. By the time the staff was aware of what was happening, it was already too late. First Appearance: Page 63 |
