Evidently born on Earth, Aslilin and Benjamin are the result of the early stages of a
project developed by the company Naitec to mix human and animal genetics to acquire a
kind of super-soldier. Upon escape, the two were taken in by the crew of the nearby
docked warship, the Shard.
Although Benjamin appears the more animal of the two, he seems to have the more
human mind. Constantly tormented by the knowledge that he only survived birth because
his identical twin (Aslilin) appeared Human, he is on a quest to discover what
humanity is defined by and therefore prove he is no less human than anyone else.
To achieve this goal he has begun hunting down another loose end of the project that
birthed him - Grey.
Aslilin, on the other hand, does not appear to care and seldom speaks - acting much
more animalistic than her brother. In mannerisms she is very similar to Grey, silent and stoic. On the surface, however, she appears to be much more mentally stable. Her eyes lack pupils or irises, and are pure green.
The two operate as bounty hunters within the legal terms set forth by Rulerism, though
they keep a skeleton crew so that their ulterior motive (hunting for Grey) is
protected. They are not the only project survivors on board their ship, as a large
"cold storage" room holds at least 50 other subjects in suspended animation to protect
from harmful bacteria brought in from the outside.
